Muskies’ goalie Rylan Hartley named to Presidents Cup First Team

Presidents Cup 2022 wrapped up on Saturday night in Edmonton with the Ladner Pioneers capturing the gold medal by defeating Akwesasne Bucks 8-6. Earlier in the day the Six Nations Rivermen defeated Miners Lacrosse Club in in the bronze medal game.

Snake Island Muskies run ended at the conclusion of the round robin with the team finishing with a 0-3-3 record. While competitive in every game the Muskies couldn’t find that elusive win and fell short of the medal round.

  • Miners Lacrosse Club 15, Muskies 12
  • Muskies 10, Calgary Mountaineers 10

Goaltender Rylan Hartley was honored by being named to the All-Tournament First Team. He played in all but one period of the round robin helping the Muskies remain competitive thoughout.

Jake Fox (10 goals, 10 assists) and Joe Hall (6 goals, 14 assists) led the Muskies offense with 20 points each. Brett Hickey (10 goals, 8 assists) also had an outstanding tournament with 18 points.
