Presidents Cup field set

Seven teams from six different Senior B leagues across North America are set to meet in Edmonton next week as the annual Presidents Cup tournament begins. Miners Lacrosse Club, champions of Alberta Series Lacrosse, are the host for the week which will take place at Bill Hunter Arena.

Here is a snapshot of each team and how they earned their spot:

Alberta Series Lacrosse champions

Regular season: 10-1-1

Playoffs: 6-1 / def. Rockyview Knights (3-0) and Calgary Mountaineers (3-1)

Calgary Mountaineers

Alberta Series Lacrosse runner up

Regular season: 7-5-0 (third place)

Playoffs: 4-3 / def. Fort Saskatchewan Rebels (3-0); lost vs Miners LC (1-3)

Ladner Pioneers

West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association champions

Regular season: 16-0-0

Playoffs: 3-0 / def. North Shore Indians (3-0)

Six Nations Rivermen

Ontario Series Lacrosse champions

Regular season: 14-2-0

Playoffs: 6-0 / def. Clearview Crushers (3-0) and Oakville Rock (3-0)

Capital Region Axemen

Quebec Senior Lacrosse League champions

Regular season: 7-5-0

Playoffs: 3-2 / def. Kahnawake Mohawks

Snake Island Muskies

Three Nations Senior Lacrosse League

Regular season: 5-7

Playoffs: uncontested

Akwesasne Bucks

Can-Am Lacrosse League

Regular season: 9-1-0

Playoffs: 7-1 / def. Allegany Arrows (2-0), Onondaga Redhawks (2-0) and Newtown Golden Eagles (3-1)
