Wilmot Wild win OJCLL opener over Six Nations Stealth

Wilmot Wild opened their 2022 regular season in style today at the ILA defeating Six Nations Stealth 12-5. It was the home debut for the Stealth who are playing in their first OJCLL season.

Chase Forsythe scored the first Wild goal at 9:30 of the opening period. He would add a pair of goals in the third along with two assists to lead all scorers with five points.

EJ Keleher and Kyler Morgan also scored in the first helping Wilmot to a 3-2 advantage at intermission.

The Wild would outscore Six Nations 3-2 again in the second to take a 6-4 lead into the final frame. Carsen Besse, Dawson Block and Jack Wilson were the goal scorers.

A two-goal lead quickly became four as Forsythe scored twice in the opening 3:33 of the third. Joel Snider, Dawson Boch and Eric Chilton made the score 11-4 Wilmot before the Stealth would snap the streak.

Snider would add a second goal to close out scoring at 7:12 of the third.

Goaltender Aidan Kelly was excellent in net for the Wild and also assisted on a goal in the third.

Wilmot Wild are back in action Monday night when they face Halton Hills Bulldogs. Game time at Mold-Masters SportsPlex Arena is scheduled for 9:00 PM.
