North Dakota standout Anthony Johnson signs with Butte Cobras

Butte Cobras are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Anthony Johnson to a tender for the 2022-23 season. The 18-year old from Crosby, North Dakota led his team to a perfect 17-0 season along with a Junior Gold state championship.

Johnson led his team in scoring with 24 goals and 21 assists and was named to the NDAHA All-State Team. He will represent Team North Dakota at the upcoming America’s Showcase St. Louis April 21-25.

“Anthony is a proven leader and will strengthen our back end,” said head coach Kirk Golden. “His size, speed, work ethic, and offensive skills will cause trouble for opponents on both ends of the ice.”
