NoVA FC wraps up historic week with MASL3 East title

It was a week to remember for Northern Virginia FC. On March 30 the club advanced to the second round of the U.S. Open Cup with a 3-1 victory over Lynchburg FC. It was their first cup win in three appearances.

Three days later NoVA FC were indoors on their home floor looking to complete an undefeated record in Major Arena Soccer League 3. A feat they would accomplish with a 12-7 win over Fredericksburg Fire FC.

Playing the Fredericksburg Fire for the fifth time this season NoVA FC overcame a first half deficit to secure the first-ever MASL 3 East title with a 12-7 victory. Fire FC led at halftime 5-4, but were shut out in the third while NoVA scored three times to take a lead they would not give up.
