St. Louis Park and Minnetonka Millers are two of the most successful clubs in the history of MBA Class A ball. The teams have combined for 18 state titles and played in 29 championship games.
Minnetonka (37-8) has won 15 titles and finished runner up another five ocassions. The Millers are the defending state champions and were ranked #1 in the last MBA Class A Poll.
2021 league champion St. Louis Park (38-8) won state titles in 2002, 2008 and 2018. Park have played in six other championship games – four of those against the Millers – whom they split a pair of games with during the regular season.
Both teams annually play 40+ games in a season and this year was no exception. In addition to their Class A schedule, St. Louis Park played top teams from Class B and C defeating Dundas Dukes, Excelsior Islanders, Victoria Vics, Champlin LoGators, Hamel Hawks, Waconia Lakers and Anoka Bucs.
The Millers non-league schedule included wins over Champlin, Kelley Fuel Diesel, Forest Lake Brewers, Victoria, Burnsville Bobcats, Dundas and Elko Express.
