Mankato West goalie Cross inks with Butte Cobras

Minnesota-born goaltender Caleb Cross has signed with the Butte Cobras for the upcoming season. The 2021 Mankato West High School graduate has four seasons of varsity experience, playing every game of his final two prep seasons.

Playing in all 28 games during his Junior year, Cross helped lead his team to the MSHSL Section 1A championship game. His season stats of 2.26 GAA and .905 save% were signs of things to come.

Cross followed up with an impressive Senior campaign, posting a record of 13-5-2 along with a 1.92 GAA and.921 save% and another Section 1 Final.

“Caleb is a very talented goaltender,” commended Cobras bench boss Kirk Golden. “He moves very well and has great rebound control. His stats from this past season were stellar, including five shutouts. We are excited to have Caleb join the Butte Cobras organization.”
