Castellano joins Butte Cobras coaching staff

Butte Cobras are pleased to welcome former Cobras player Nick Castellano as assistant coach. Castellano arrives in Butte after one season as an assistant with the Bozeman Icedogs.

Castellano rejoins new head coach Kirk Golden who also spent last season in Bozeman.

“Nick is a great addition to our Butte Cobras staff,” commented Golden. “His experience in Butte as a player will help him relate to our guys now as a coach.”

A four-year varsity player at Austin (MN) High School, Castellano began his Junior career with the Steele County Blades in 2014-15. The following season was spent in a Cobras uniform before four years playing ACHA hockey at the University of Mississippi.

“Nick knows the landscape of the NA3HL as he was an assistant in the Frontier Division last season with the Bozeman Icedogs. He has recently gone through the Junior A to college hockey process and will be valuable in helping guide our student athletes.”
