Coastal Elite Pirates have announced the addition of Justin Jones for their inaugural season in the East Coast Basketball League. Jones wrapped up his collegiate career at Bethany College (NAIA) in 2020.
A native of Myrtle Beach, Jones played high school ball for the Johnson Hornets in Columbia before beginning his college career at Cowley County Community College in 2016. The 6’2 guard then played one season at South Carolina State (NCAA Division I) then transferred to Division II Young Harris College for the 2018-19 season.
Making 21 starts at Young Harris, Jones was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference Third Team after averaging 18.6 points per game.
Following his senior season Jones earned Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year award as well as being named to the All-KCAC Second Team.
Jones spent this fall competing in the Kosovo Basketball Superleague with KB Ponte Prizreni.
