It was announced just over five weeks ago – the National Premier Soccer League is coming to St. Louis Park. The league made the announcement with a news release on December 3, 2020: Joy Athletic Club St. Louis Park would begin play in the NPSL North Conference of the Midwest Region in 2021.
Led by Ted Kroeten, founder/director of Joy of the People, Joy Athletic will represent the top of the club pyramid offering opportunities for players to play beyond the U19 level.
Formed in 2009, Joy of the People is a proponent of the ‘Free Play’ philosophy providing youth opportunities to experience the game by just – playing.
Joy Athletic Club will play home matches at St. Louis Park Stadium which features a synthetic turf surface installed by FieldTurf in 2012.
