Red Lake Miners add prospect Mantzavrakos

Red Lake Miners GM/Head Coach Geoff Walker announced the acquisition of forward Mason Mantzavrakos. The 18-year old is a two-year veteran of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League where he posted 76 points in 97 games.

The 5’7″ Mantzavrakos is coming to Red Lake after a stellar season with the St. Mary’s Lincolns where he led his team in scoring with 22 goals, 32 assists in 50 games.

“We are very pleased to bring a player of Masons ability to Red Lake,” commented Walker. “He’s younger and fits in exactly with what we are trying to build here.”

Mantzavrakos has spent time this fall with the Halifax Mooseheads training camp, competing in a pair of preseason games. He should be game ready for the Sunday opener.
