Season three for the Rum River Mallards is scheduled to begin on the road September 25-26. The Mallards will face their USPHL Midwest-West opponent Rochester Vipers to begin their 2020-21 campaign. The following night the team will travel to Blaine and face the Minnesota Moose.
Rum River will make their home debut at Isanti Ice Arena the weekend of October 2-3 when they host the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
Returning to lead the club is Triston Jensen who took over as General Manager/Head Coach in December 2019. Jensen guided the team to a 10-10 record in his time, but closed the regular season winning six of their final seven games.
“I’m excited for the new season,” said Jensen. “It’s my first full year with the group who are a good mix of veterans and newcomers. I’m hoping the people of the Cambridge/Isanti area once again come out to support their team.”
