Philadelphia Hockey Club of the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) today announced an affiliation agreement with the Las Vegas Thunderbirds for the 2020-21 season.
“We are excited to announce a new affiliation agreement with the Las Vegas Thunderbirds,” said PHC General Manager Troy Mick. “Las Vegas enjoyed tremendous success in their first year of Junior hockey last season and recently became members of the USPHL-Premier West Division and we are thrilled to add the Thunderbirds as a development affiliate for our players.”
Under the affiliation agreement, the Thunderbirds will serve as a resource for the development efforts and personnel needs of the Philadelphia Hockey Club. The agreement allows PHC-NCDC prospects to be assigned to the Thunderbirds for developmental purposes throughout the season.
“We feel that Philadelphia is the perfect fit as our NCDC affiliate,” stated Head Coach Dave Hyrsky. “The commitment they have to developing and progressing players, is exactly in line with what we are looking to do in Las Vegas.”
Additionally, the PHC-NCDC staff will work along the Thunderbirds to promote their players to our tuition-free NCDC league and will be involved with their summer camp in Las Vegas tentatively set for August 2020.
