Season six in the East Coast Basketball League began this weekend with eight of the 19 teams in action. Two of those teams are new to the ECBL in 2020.
Five-time defending champion PrimeTime Players opened their campaign on Saturday in Orangeburg, South Carolina facing one of those new teams – Carolina Showtime. After a fairly competitive opening half the champs proved to be too much running away with a 122-88 win.
Two other road teams also were victorious on opening day. Hampton Roads Warriors needed overtime to down North Carolina Coyotes 103-101 in Durham while Rowan County Bulls finished on top of Carolina Chosen Lions 127-118.
