With a playoff berth already clinched, there is still much to play for with the Rum River Mallards (20-16-1). Currently in sixth position in the USPHL Midwest – West Division with 41 points, Rum River have an important three games coming up this weekend.
The team begins their weekend with a showdown with division leader Hudson Havoc (31-7-2) Friday at Isanti Civic Arena. Powered by a balanced attack, the Havoc feature seven players with 40 or more points this season. Tyler Kulas (54 points) and Evan Mitchell (53 points) are atop the team leaders while Dylan Marty (23 goals) is among three skaters with at least 20 goals.
Saturday the Mallards will welcome the Rochester Vipers (6-30-0) to Isanti. Looking up at the rest of the division, the Vipers are coming off a weekend split against the Dells Ducks. Players to watch include Dom Lesnock (29 points) and Garrett Sawyer (16 goals, 10 assists).
On Sunday the Mallards travel south to Minneapolis where they will meet the Minnesota Mullets, currently tied for fourth in the division with 44 points. The Mullets are led by the dynamic duo of Cooper Hoheisel (68 points) and Tyler Perkins (67 points) who rank in the top 12 among league leaders.
Recently named new bench boss Triston Jensen will rely on the balanced offense led by Akhmed Malsagov whose 54 points leads a team with nine players having 20 points or more. The 19-year old Russian has more than doubled his rookie season total of 26 points.

Austin Bartell has been featured in net the majority of the season for the Mallards. The 2019 Arrowhead (Wisconsin) High School grad has a 3.82 GAA and .890 save%. Jason Cooke and Armand Charland have seen action this season.
