OCN Storm are pleased to announce the acquisition of veteran forward Keith Monias from the Cross Lake Islanders in exchange for future considerations. Monias adds more firepower to a veteran-heavy roster as the Storm seek their first Keystone Junior Hockey League title.
A product of the Cross Lake minor hockey program, Monias has put up huge offensive totals at every level. His 2014-15 season with the Islanders Midget AA ended with 100 points in just 29 games played.
Monias went on to play with the Norman AAA Northstars in 2015-16 scoring 14 goals and 16 assists in 39 games. He was named team MVP that season on a team that included Tony Apetagon (OCN Storm, OCN Blizzard, Winnipeg Blues, University of Manitoba), Justin Nachbaur (OCN Blizzard, Prince Albert Raiders), Ethan Stuckless (OCN Storm, Red Lake Miners), and Hunter Halcrow (Waywayseecappo Wolverines, Espanola Express).
Since then the 6’2 center has played in 89 games over three seasons with the Islanders Junior B scoring 82 goals with 94 assists.
