Akwesasne Bucks, Six Nations to play for Presidents Cup gold

The three-year title run by the St. Albert Miners has ended at Presidents Cup 2019. The Miners failed to finish in the top two spots of the round robin meaning there will be a new champion of Senior B for the first time since 2015.

The last winner prior to the St. Albert three-peat was the Six Nations Rivermen who return to the gold medal game after a 5-1-1 record over the past six days. Champions of the six-team Ontario circuit Six Nations (23-6-1 overall) only loss was to their championship opponent.

Akwesasne Bucks (26-4-1 overall) defeated the Rivermen 14-6 on the final day to also finish with a 5-1-1 record. The first-year club is attempting to complete a dream season after capturing the Can-Am League title.

Presidents Cup gold medal game is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Sunday.
