The journey to the OJBLL title almost ended after a Game 3 loss at home gave the Indians a 2-1 series advantage. Six Nations would bounce back winning Game 4 at ILA 11-6 forcing the deciding game.
Six Nations last appearance at Founders’ Cup was in 2014 when they defeated the Seneca WarChiefs in the gold medal game. Those same two teams would be considered the favorites by many in 2019 with a possible rematch five years in the making.
Six Nations Rebels are seven-time Founders’ gold medalists finishing on top in 1998, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.
Hosted by the Manitoba Blizzard, Founders’ Cup 2019 will begin August 12 in Winnipeg.
