Seneca WarChiefs six-peat as FNJBLL champions

It took all five games to find a champion, but in the end Seneca WarChiefs captured their sixth FNJBLL title in six seasons. They raised the championship trophy on their home floor Sunday after a Game 5 victory over the Onondaga Jr. Redhawks 17-10.

2019 was another dominating summer for the boys in green and purple. After a perfect 12-0-0 regular season Seneca easily dispatched Tyendinaga Thunder in the semifinals with a pair of big wins (23-3; 15-6).

The second seeded Redhawks had a bit tougher road, but also swept their way past the Mohawk Medicine Men 16-12 and 16-15.

The best-of five finals began like everyone expected with the WarChiefs winning the opening game 13-3. From that point on though the series took a shift. Onondaga had raised their level of intensity and it showed in their play winning Game 2 at home 12-10.
