It was an emotional weekend for the defending champion TC Elite. The Minnesota Broncos stunned the MBL kings on May 17 with a 120-115 victory in Ramsey. That left Elite with a 4-3 record and a date with the league leading Eagan Bulldogs the next day.
In a game that had a championship-type feel TC Elite welcomed the Bulldogs to New Hope on Sunday in front of an enthusiastic crowd. It was a back-and-forth affair with Eagan leading 28-23 after one quarter. Elite bounced back in the second to even the game 55-55 at halftime.

Both teams would have spurts of dominance, but it never lasted. Neither team would lead the game by more than eight at any point. TC Elite began the fourth quarter with a 92-90 advantage and would end up winning by that same margin 120-118.
With the loss the Eagan Bulldogs (7-2) slipped a half-game back of Cedar Valley CourtKings (7-1) who cruised to a home victory over the North Minneapolis Eagles Sunday night. Just behind the leaders of the MBL West are Minnesota Lakers (6-3) and TC Elite (5-3)
