Pittsburg Diamonds are pleased to announce that Chris Kwitzer has been traded to the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League. The 23-year old will report to Washington immediately.
Kwitzer played 19 games with the Diamonds posting a .319 average with one home run and 15 RBI. In 72 at-bats the outfielder/infielder totalled 23 hits and 11 walks.
This will mark the fourth league this season for the rookie from New York who played his college ball at the University of Buffalo (2014-17). After starting the season in the Can-Am League with the road warrior Salina Stockade and Hollywood Stars Kwitzer was sent to Santa Fe Fuego. He dominated Pecos League pitching with a .429 average, 11 home runs and 42 RBI in 32 games before signing with Pittsburg in late July.
