Spring has arrived in Contra Costa County and so has Pittsburg Diamonds baseball. 2018 marks the fifth season for the Diamonds as a member of the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs.
Former MLB infielder Aaron Miles returns as manager with hopes of a league championship.
The regular season begins on May 31. With the addition of two expansion teams (Martinez Clippers and Napa Silverados) teams will play an 80-game schedule.
Pittsburg will travel on opening day to face the defending league champion Vallejo Admirals in a two-game set. The home opener is scheduled for June 2 against the Sonoma Stompers. First pitch at Winter Chevrolet Stadium at 5:05 PM.
