The Guelph Hurricanes were on the road Thursday night facing Brantford 99ers in GOJHL action, coming home with a 4-0 victory. Goaltender Jet Greaves earned his fourth shutout of the season stopping all 28 shots face.
Dayten Lylyk scored the only goal of the first period and it turned out to be the game winner. Anthony Mota made it 2-0 in the second period providing some insurance in a game played tightly throughout.

In the third period Mota scored another, his 24th tally of the season, on a penalty shot before a Bradley Smith empty net goal in the final minute capped off the win.
Guelph (12-27-1-6) currently sit seventh place in the Midwestern standings, now one point back of Brantford (13-26-2-4). Sixth place would likely mean a playoff matchup against third place Waterloo Siskins (54 points) while finishing seventh would currently equal a first round matchup against second place Stratford Warriors (70 points).
The Hurricanes next game is scheduled for Saturday against Midwestern leading Listowel Cyclones (38-5-0-1). Game time at Sleeman Centre is 7:30 PM.
