Cherrey Bus Lines will be sponsoring the Guelph Hurricanes game on Friday when the Brantford 99ers visit Sleeman Centre. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
Guelph (9-22-1-4), who have battled injuries, player movement and youth for most of this season, will be looking for their first victory of the new calendar year after dropping two over the weekend.
Listowel Cyclones handed the visiting Hurricanes a 4-1 defeat on Friday night. Payton McLeish scored the Guelph goal with assists from Bradley Smith and Mason Sinkeldam. Jet Greaves started the game in net giving up three goals on 14 shots and was replaced by Trenton McGrail (16 saves) for the final 37 minutes.
On Saturday the neighbor rival Kitchener Dutchmen came to Sleeman and walked away with a 4-0 victory. Trailing just 1-0 at second intermission, Kitchener scored three times in the final frame. McGrail went the distance making 17 saves in a game which saw just 40 shots total between the two teams.
