Hurricanes acquire goaltender McGrail

With the GOJHL regular season just three days away some final roster moves are being made all around the league. The Guelph Hurricanes are no exception and today announce the acquisition of goaltender Trenton McGrail from the London Nationals.

McGrail, who made 15 starts for the Nationals last season, has been added to the Guelph lineup. At 6’4″ 225-pounds, McGrail has a large frame in front of the net and experience to go with it. He posted a record of 11-2-0-2 in 2016-17 with a Western Conference best 2.73 GAA and a .899 save%.

In October of 2016 the goaltender made one appearance for the London Knights playing in an Ontario Hockey League game just days before his 18th birthday.

“We are very happy to have Trenton join our roster,” said Hurricanes GM Steve Marshall. “We look forward to seeing his progression and development.”
