The New Jersey Renegades, members of the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are
proud to announce an affiliation with the Connecticut Oilers (EHL). This affiliation will provide both clubs a working relationship to develop and move players up the ladder of
development under the USA Hockey umbrella. The Oilers have done a great job over
the years to provide an atmosphere for their aspiring players to advance through the
EHL/USA Hockey Junior hockey system.
“Karl Linden (Head Coach) of the Oilers and I are on the same page when it comes to proper development and we will be working together to move kids to the proper levels of Jr hockey as well as college, prep school and the professional ranks,” said Cliff Graziano, Owner/GM & Co-Head Coach of the Renegades.
Renegades Co-Head Coach Pete Rossi added, “the clubs are approximately two
and a half hours from each other with some of both teams players living near the
midway point which will make for an easy transition, specifically for those players
enrolled in school, whether it be high school or local colleges to go to either program in
a pinch if they were to be called upon.”
This is the second affiliation for the Renegades as earlier this season they affiliated with the New Hampshire Avalanche.
Graziano added, “one of the two programs may need a certain position player and one may not so now this leaves all of us more options and opportunity.”
The New Jersey Renegades over the past decade of existence have moved players on to the USHL, NAHL, prep schools, the professional ranks as well as NCAA Division I and III as well as ACHA college programs. They pride themselves on training student athletes
in a learning environment as well as teaching the players the values of responsibility, accountability for their actions, and discipline to the classroom as well as their athletic training.
