The Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the addition of the Coldwater Ice Wolves. The expansion franchise is set to begin play for the 2017-18 season.
Led by GM/Head Coach Justin Beers, the Ice Wolves will play their home games at the Coldwater Community Centre. With existing teams Muskoka Wild and Essa Stallions a short drive away the Ice Wolves should have some instant local rivalries.
Beers has been involved in Junior hockey since 2012 when he was an assistant coach with the Penetang Kings. He then was video coach with the Barrie Colts for three seasons.
The team has been actively recruiting and has already signed players for the upcoming season.

“We are extremely excited to be bringing Junior hockey to Coldwater,” said Beers. “All of our staff and volunteers are dedicated to the highest standards on and off the ice. We are excited to be involved in the community and to try and help out wherever we can.”
