League action in the CPJHL has picked up and there have been plenty of standout individual performers. None best these three, who were named Players of the Month for December.
Muskoka Wild goalie Motoki Watanabe has helped his team to the league-best record of 18-3-3-1. Playing three games in the month, Watanabe stopped 76 of 81 shots in three games, including a shutout on December 13.
After a slow start to their season Norwood Nemesis 1-1-2 during their final games before the holiday break. The leadership of Garrett Ouellette has had a large role in the play of the team while providing offense (10 points in seven games) from the blueline.
Daniel Bureau has been one of the top scorers in the league all season. Currently second overall with 42 points in 27 games played, the 18-year old from Markdale was dominant in December scoring 15 points. He is a big reason the Grey Highlands Hawks are still in the chase of the West Division title.
