2017 will see several new teams enter the East Coast Basketball League – and Carolina Kings are one who will be ready. The Greenville-based team has already added local talent to their roster and will be ready when the season begins in March.
Formed in early 2016, the Kings have competed in local tournaments, charity events as well as exhibition games against a variety of teams (including ECBL teams). Team owner and head coach Treybian Parker is excited about the opportunity to compete in the ECBL.
“Being accepted into the ECBL is a huge achievement for myself and the organization,” Parker commented. “It’s also just the start of something and we know we have a lot of work to do before March!”
With an early tryout already complete the Kings have added several players to their roster. Many have local ties to the Greenville area as former high school and/or college athletes.
