The Florida Basketball Association (FBA) are about to embark on their fifth season. Five teams will compete this season, including two-time defending champion Miami Midnites. Also a member of the ABA, Miami will begin their FBA season after the conclusion of the ABA Playoffs (2015 runner-up).
Returning teams who will be battling the Midnites this year include Florida Flight (Orlando), Heartland Prowl (Tampa) and Palm Beach Knights
Joining the league this season are the expansion Space Coast Stars, who will play out of Bethany Christian School in Melbourne. Team majority owner is former FBA player Corey Williams, who has the full support of FBA Commissioner Greg Kite along with league president Mark King.
“Williams has garnered the endorsement of every FBA team owner,” stated Kite. “The FBA Board of Directors will collectively share insight and feedback to ensure Williams puts together a team that fits the standard of excellence people have come to expect from an FBA team.”
