HTJHL Week 1 Player of the Week: Bailey Fehr

Opening weekend of the Hanover Tache Junior Hockey League featured just two games, but plenty of goals. Defending league champion Grunthal Jr. Red Wings won their home opener in a wild affair 9-7 over the Mitchell Mohawks. Several players recorded multi-point games, but none like Bailey Fehr – scoring six goals while adding an assist. For his efforts Fehr is the Week 1 HTJHL Player of the Week.

A native of Niverville, Fehr is playing his first year of Juniors after playing 40 games with the Eastman Selects in Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season. The 17-year old winger scored early and often in the game against Mitchell notching his hat trick at the 3:07 mark of the second period. Fehr would score twice more in the period and added an empty net goal to finish his seven point night.

  • Red River Mudbugs at Mitchell Mohawks
  • Lorette Comets at Steinbach Jr. Huskies

Monday, Oct. 26

  • Mitchell Mohawks at Springfield Xtreme

All game times are scheduled for 8 PM.
