WHO: Inferno Renegades vs Stegman’s Old Boys
WHAT: MASL Division 3
WHEN: Tuesday, July 8 – 6:30 PM
WHERE: Dred Scott Playfield, Bloomington
This week we revisit MASL Division 3 with a matchup between two newer clubs. Inferno Renegades are competing in just their second MASL campaign. After being promoted to Division 3 the Renegades (0-1-7) have yet to win, although have been competitive in most games outside the top two division leading teams. The one draw this season came against Scorpions FC on June 3.
Stegman’s Old Boys are in their third season of MASL play. Currently mid-table SOB (3-0-4) are hoping the back-to-back matches against the Renegades can get the club in a spot to battle for a promotion position by seasons end.
About Inferno Renegades: entered MASL in 2013 and finished 10-1-7 which was good enough for third in Division 4. The club currently play out of Bloomington.
About Stegman’s Old Boys: supporter-owned, SOB entered MASL in 2012 finishing 12-2-3, earning promotion to Division 3 in their very first year. Stegman’s found competition a bit tougher last year going 8-3-7 for a sixth place finish. Home pitch is Lincoln Ground in Northwest Minneapolis. SOB has a second team, Stegman’s Athletic, competing in their first year of Division 4.
