The only NJCAA Division I soccer school in Minnesota, Dakota County Technical College have had one of their most successful seasons in the short history of their program. Currently ranked #16 in the national Division I poll, DCTC and Head Coach Cam Stoltz are nearing the completion of their 10th soccer season. DCTC (10-2-1) close out their home schedule on Saturday afternoon when they host Iowa Lakes CC at 3 PM.
DCTC recently traveled to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for a pair of matches with non-region foes. The Blue Knights returned home with one win (a 3-1 victory against North Idaho College) and a 1-0 loss to Walla Walla Community College.
The Region 11/13 playoff will be played on October 29 in Des Moines so DCTC will play a tune-up on October 23 in Faribault against the Shattuck-St. Mary’s U18 Development Academy. The region champion advances to host the Great Lakes District Championship on November 8. That winner will represent the district at the NJCAA National Championship held November 18-23 in Tyler, Texas.
