With two weeks before Big Ten Conference play set to begin, the Minnesota Gophers Women’s Soccer club is off to a great start. Five matches, five victories. The schedule does get tougher though. Five teams currently ranked in the NCAA Division I Top 25 poll are on the schedule. Those fixtures are against #10-ranked Florida, #11 Michigan, #14 Penn State, #21 Ohio State and #23 Wisconsin.
18 of the 23 players on the Gophers roster are from Minnesota. The three seniors on the roster are Lauren Bauer (Eagan HS), Steph Brandt (Rochester Century HS) and MacKenzie Misel (Ankeny, IA).
