The 2013 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) regular season is winding down, but the Midwest playoff picture is set. The Great Lakes Flight finished play this weekend with top-ranked Detroit City FC finished without a loss at 11-1-0. Detroit, who will host a final four playoff on July 13-14, will be joined by FC Buffalo (8-0-4), Erie Admirals (6-3-3) and AFC Cleveland (3-3-6).
As for the NPSL Midwest Central Flight, Quad City Eagles FC (9-1-0) clinched the top spot on Sunday, defeating Madison 56ers SC 4-2. Second-place Milwaukee Bavarian SC (6-0-3) trails Quad City by 10 points and even with victories in their remaining three matches could not pass the Eagles.
