For the third time in club history Capital Region Axemen are Quebec Senior Lacrosse League champions. The Axemen swept a best-of three finals against Kahnawake Mohawks this weekend to repeat as champs, clinching the title on their home floor.

After a regular season record of 6-4-1 the Axemen are peeking at the right time finishing a perfect 4-0 in the playoffs. The Mohawks took three of the four regular season matchups, but Capital Region reversed those results in the finals winning two straight.
Both teams advance to Presidents Cup – Capital Region the Quebec representative – Kahnawake the host.
Presidents Cup 2019 is scheduled to begin August 26 at the Kahnawake Sports Complex.
