2015 American Professional Basketball League All-Star Denzel Jackson has signed with Island Storm of NBL Canada. The Philadelphia product started his collegiate career at Maryland-Eastern Shore before transferring to Junior college powerhouse Tyler Junior College for his sophomore season in 2008-09. Jackson then transferred to play his final year at American International where he led the Yellow Jackets in rebounding and blocked shots. AIC finished 20-9 in 2009-10 including an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Jackson spent the 2014-15 season playing with the New Jersey Thunder, helping the team to a perfect 18-0 season and winning their first APBL championship. Now the 6’6″ forward will take his game north to Prince Edward Island and the NBL Canada.
