The Thunder Bay Junior B Hockey League (TBJBHL) confirmed tonight that the Smooth Rock Falls Thunder has gone on hiatus from the league before playing a single game. Citing a lack of players to compete at the Jr.B level, the team’s ownership decided to delay their participation until the 2016-17 season.
The remaining six teams have rescheduled games that were to be played against the Thunder, allowing the league will maintain a 33-game schedule.
